PinDiary (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PinDiary handles information when you use our mobile application.
PinDiary is designed as a local-first diary application. We do not provide user accounts, do not operate a server for storing your diary entries, and do not upload your diary text or selected photos to our servers.
However, certain app features use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, maps, place search, and address lookup. Those services may receive limited information as described below.
We do not require or collect the following information through user accounts because PinDiary does not offer user accounts:
We do not collect or use Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (“IDFA”), and we do not use information for cross-app or cross-website tracking or targeted advertising.
Diary entries, ratings, hashtags, saved places, and user-selected photos are stored locally on your device. App extensions, including home screen widgets (e.g., PlaceWidget), process data locally on your device and do not transmit widget-displayed content to external servers.
We do not upload the text, photos, or other content of your diary entries to our servers or to Firebase. If you enable device backup features provided by Apple, locally stored app data may be included in backups according to your device and Apple Account settings.
You may delete locally stored diary data within the app where available, or remove all locally stored app data by uninstalling PinDiary.
PinDiary may request access to your location while you use location-based features, such as showing your current position on a map or finding nearby places. You can deny, limit, or revoke location access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services on your device.
